Finding your size is part of finding the right garment. At VALRIC, we care as much about the silhouette as we do about how you feel wearing it. That is why, in addition to indicating the available sizes, we include specific measurements for the garments whenever they are available.

Start with each garment's product page
Patterns are not identical across all our collections. A tailored jacket, an Austrian jacket, and a shirt may have different fits even when they share the same size. Consult the "Size and fit" section of the item you are interested in before choosing.
How to interpret the measurements
When we provide a table in centimeters, we distinguish between the garment measurements and body measurements. If the product page lists the chest, waist, or hip circumference of the garment, that data does not directly correspond to your body measurement: there must be some ease left to move comfortably.
- Chest: measure the circumference of the widest part of the torso.
- Waist: measure the circumference at your natural waistline, without tightening the tape.
- Hips: measure the circumference of the widest area.
- Shoulders and sleeves: these are especially important for structured jackets, shirts, and Austrian jackets.
If you are comparing with a garment you already own and like, try to ensure it is of the same type and that it is laid out flat without stretching the fabric. Keep in mind the cut and the fit you are looking for.
If you are between two sizes
The best choice depends on the garment, whether you want to wear something underneath, and the fit you prefer. For structured garments, it is advisable to pay special attention to the shoulders and back. We do not recommend automatically sizing up or down without checking the pattern.
